| Band and Percussion Instrument Programs |
| Whether it be playing in the wind, brass, or percussion section of a symphony, a symphonic band, or marching on the field at halftime, our private lessons and classes give you the opportunity to thoroughly learn your chosen instrument and experience the wide range of performing venues available to musicians who can play a wind, brass, or percussion instrument. |
| EarlyWinds |
Ages 6 - 10 | MON 1–2 pm (start 9/8/14) | Our unique Early Winds program for kids 6 -10 years old permits meaningful instruction to take place in a way that retains the child's fascination with music. Utilizing flutes and saxophones designed specifically for young musicians, students will learn real playing skills that will last a lifetime. |
| Beginning Percussion |
Ages 10+ | TUE 2-2:45 pm (start 9/2/14) |
This class is the first level of percussion instruction. Students will learn basics of snare drumming and orchestral bells. Students will need to have their own instrument to play and will need to purchase a book at the first class. |
| Beginning Woodwinds |
Ages 10+ | TUE

This class is the first level of woodwind instruction for those interested flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe or bassoon. Students will need to have their own instrument to play and will need to purchase a book at the first class. |
| Beginning Brass |
Ages 10+ | TUE 4-4:45 pm (start 9/2/14) | This class is the first level of brass instruction for those interested trumpet, trombone or French horn. Students will need to have their own instrument to play and will need to purchase a book at the first class. |
| Intermediate Band | Ages 11+ | TUE 1-2:00 pm (start 9/2/14) |
For those that have played a wind or percussion instrument for at least 1 year, Intermediate Band focuses on continuing performance techniques, ensemble playing and basic music theory. |
| Marching Band | Ages 13+ | WED 3–4 pm (start 9/3/14) |
For wind and percussions students interested in marching arts. In addition to increasing their musical performance skills, students will learn movement and spacing skills that will allow them to perform in both outside (fields and parade) as well as inside (gymnasium) marching activities. |
| Color Guard | Ages 13+ | THU 3:30-4:30 pm (start 9/4/14)

Combining artistry of dance with the precision elements of flags, rifles and sabers, color guard provides the majority of the visual interest to the marching arts activities. Students will learn the fundamentals of dance and equipment handling (flags, rifles, sabers) as well as staging, form and spacing. |
