The Niles Area
Community Orchestra

The Niles Area Community Orchestra provides a cultural enrichment to the community that otherwise would not be available.  To find a real orchestra in a town the size of Niles is extremely rare.  We also provide help to the Salvation Army food pantry through the food donations given for concert admission.
Your monetary help would be greatly appreciated.  Future plans go far beyond just giving concerts, but will also include educational programs for those who otherwise would not have such an opportunity.  Feel free to help along in this effort by donating to the orchestra.   All donations will be used to promote musical performances and further music education in the greater Niles community.  No amount is too small.
All donations will receive an email receipt.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Next Concert on Sunday, December 4, 2018 at 4pm in the rotunda of the Niles District Library, 620 E Main St, Niles, MI.  Entry and parking are from Cedar St, one block south of Main St.

Did you play a stringed instrument in school?  Would you like to experience again the thrill of playing in an orchestra?  The Niles Area Community Orchestra needs you!  The orchestra is currently rehearsing alternate Sundays at 2pm in the lower fellowship hall of the New Apostolic Church, 1451 E Broadway in Niles, MI.  All the proceeds of our concerts are donated to charities that serve our local community.  This is your opportunity to help the less fortunate in our community while having a lot of fun in the process.  For more information, email NACOrchestra@yahoo.com, or contact us though our Facebook page “Niles Area  Community Orchestra”.

The Niles Area Community (NAC) Orchestra was organized a few years ago as a result of the growth of the New Apostolic Church Orchestra which rehearsed in the Niles church building at 1451 E Broadway.  Members of the church orchestra invited their friends who liked it so much they attended rehearsals and participated in the concerts and other occasions when the orchestra played.  Many came from other churches, and continue to play in their own church musical programs as well.

The group has grown to over 50 members, and is open to anyone in the greater Niles area (which currently includes players from Bridgman, Sawyer, Buchanan, Niles, Dowagiac, St. Joseph, Edwardsburg, and Berrien Springs in Michigan, and South Bend, Mishawaka, Osceola, and Granger in Indiana) who has an instrumental skill they would like to employ in a fun and rewarding activity.  Several concerts are planned for 2015, and now would be the perfect time to join.  To answer a question you may have in your mind:  you are not too old to do this (the group is open to ages 12 and up).
Rehearsals are held twice a month, generally on Sunday afternoon.
